Salem Pride Festival

More than 80 nonprofits, local businesses, faith groups, and community organizations are set to participate in the second annual North Shore Pride Parade and Festival taking place Saturday, June 29 in Salem, MA. All are welcome to attend this day-long event celebrating unity in the community. Events taking place throughout the month of June are also part of the Pride Festival.

Salem Summer Concert Series

Each Sunday throughout the Summer of 2013, the City of Salem is hosting the Peabody Street Park Concert Series. Heading up this project is Mamadou Diop, leader of the World Fusion band MAMADOU. The goal of this project is to bring the communities of Salem together through music.

Mahi Summer Music Series

Aboard the Hannah Glover, the Mahi Summer Music Series offers a cool atmosphere with sunset views, fresh air, local brews, tropical cocktails, great music and a great crowd. Every Thursday night, starting June 27, come party with Mahi and ‘Gansett aboard the Hannah Glover!
Tickets are $19 and can be purchase online (mahicruises.com) or by phone (978.825.000). Groups of five (5) or more $15 with advanced purchase. Reservations are always recommended. Band list is online. 21+ event

Salem Celebrates the 4th!

For thirteen years residents and visitors have gathered on Derby Wharf at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site to celebrate Independence Day. Featuring a Pops concert performed by the 42 piece Hillyer Festival Orchestra, a Kid Space play area, and fireworks launched over Salem Harbor, this is a quintessential celebration of the 4th of July!
Fireworks begin at 9:15pm.

Salem Maritime Festival

The 25th annual Salem Maritime Festival offers an exciting array of free family fun, including live music, free harbor cruises, craft demonstrations, dance, story-telling, and much more! Salem Jazz and Soul Festival

The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival recreates and renews the vibrant jazz scene that began at the Salem Willows in the 1920’s, when Duke Ellington and other musicians from the Big Band era played at the seaside park in Massachusetts. The festival builds on this rich jazz history - adding soul, blues and funk to the mix and shining the spotlight on talented musicians from Boston’s North Shore and beyond.

Antique & Classic Boat Festival

The flash of polished bronze and gleam of varnished wood across the water will be the order of the day as elegant antique and classic yachts sail into Salem for the Antique & Classic Boat Festival. Mostly wood, primarily private yachts and aesthetically stunning, the vessels will be on display to the public over the weekend at Brewer Hawthorne Cove Marina.
