Irish You Were Here: Musings and Memories of an American Expatriate in Erin with Anne Driscoll
May 9 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
One event on an unspecified date at 7:30pm
Since 2013, North Shore writer, educator, and social activist Anne Driscoll has spent the better part of each year in Ireland. From the beginning, she was charmed and beguiled by a country that loves stories, celebrates characters, and believes conversation is a currency more valuable than money. Ms. Driscoll, back on the North Shore for a brief visit, will stop by to share some of her favorite personal Irish experiences, including rowing currachs down the Liffey, visiting 1200 year old monasteries and 12th century pubs, and even covering a traditional singles’ matchmaking festival for the Boston Globe. Hers is an Ireland you won’t read about in tour guides, and it’s one you won’t soon forget.
