We have made it around the sun one more time, and here we sit, on the eve of Halloween. The weather forecast looks crisp and clear, and we anticipate a vibrant showing of visitors and tourists in Salem on Halloween night.
If you are coming to Salem we have a few guidelines, recommendations, and requests. These are all common sense issues: take public transportation (traffic is going to be bad); don't bring weapons, real or fake (c'mon, you know better); respect the police and public safety officers. Public safety is our first priority on Halloween night. We want everyone coming to have fun and get home safe at the end of the night. The end of the night, by the way, is 10:30 PM after the fireworks. If you take the MBTA Commuter Rail, the last trains begin leaving just after 11:00 PM.
There will be road closures in Salem on Halloween. This is necessary to accommodate all of the people and their costumes. Roads are closed at 4:00 PM, or earlier if public safety deems it necessary.
If you are here, and you take pictures, make sure to tag #HauntedHappenings or #SalemMA and share them with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We love to see what you're doing when you visit Salem, expecially on Halloween!!
With that, we wish you a happy, healthy, fun-filled Halloween night!
