Lunar Attraction Exhibition at the Peabody Essex Museum

Arts, Art

As Earth’s closest celestial body and only natural satellite, the moon has engaged our curiosity and imagination over millennia and across cultures. Contemporary artists use the moon as both a source of inspiration and investigation. Lunar Attraction features artworks and interactives that explore our longstanding fascination and connection with the moon, ranging from the psychological effects of a full moon to the gravitational pull that controls Earth’s tides to the 21st-century international race to build a base on the moon.

Exhibit is on view from October 15, 2016 – August 10, 2017.
