A tradition for over 20 years, this party sells out every year and is the “place to be” in Salem. The Hawthorne Hotel’s annual Halloween Party is the biggest and best Salem has to offer. Enjoy three floors of food, fine costumes, live music, DJs, dancing, psychics, and of course the big Hawthorne costume contest. Winners are awarded cash prizes and, most importantly, claim to a 12-month bragging right.

Rule of 3 is a three-piece acoustic band from the North Shore of Boston.The band has built its reputation on its strong three-part harmonies and lively shows that tend to turn into sing-alongs. The band, comprised of guitarist Paul Carr, bassist Richard Marino, and drummer Pat Seitz, covers an eclectic variety of songs from the ’60s through the ’80s, including “A Day in the Life” ( Beatles), “Beginnings” (Chicago), “How Deep Is Your Love” (Bee Gees), “No Matter What” (Badfinger) and “Dance With Me” (Orleans).

Formed in 2008, the Runaround Sound is a high energy, horn-driven spectacular that delivers “feel-good” grooves and catchy lyrics. Featuring a set of genre-liberated tunes, the band plays everything from Bob Marley to the Beatles. One can expect to “set their worries aside” as they dance to the beats of ska, reggae, rocksteady and soul! Through their transcendence of funk, soul, jam, and roots rock, Krewe de Groove brings together some of the best musicians in Massachusetts to create its musical family. After 16 years based out of New Orleans, guitarist/vocalist Brandon Tarricone is back on the East Coast and has brought the flavor of the bayou back to New England with his original sound. Justin Lopes on B3 organ, John Iltis on drums, and Dave Walker on bass make up the Krewe’s rhythm section and their tight, syncopated pocket.  Local hero sax players Henley Douglas Jr and Eric Schindler make up the horn section, blowing up the funk that lays on top (literally!). Tarricone’s original compositions, vocals, and sprinkled arrangements of classic New Orleans material is combined to make every show, interesting, fun and always danceable night.

Joppa Road is a heavy hitting Ween tribute band hailing from Beverly.  They go deep into the Ween catalogue and have been delivering exceptionally brown performances for over two years now.  The group was created by Ween enthusiasts Russel Sundberg and Kevin Hallinan, both of whom can be found listening to Ween on the jukebox at the Luckydog practically any night.  Mike Pellegrino of Lee Harvey also wanted in on the action, and thus Joppa Road was created. Russ and Kevin on lead vocals. Mike on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals. Benny Benson on snare, hi hat, kick and rototom.  Ben Fairbank on guitar, recently awarded a gold star for delivering crushingly epic solos. Dylan Sullivan on bass and fuzz octave. Scotty King on keys and synthesizers. Don’t miss what’s sure to be an epic night on the Hannah Glover!

A Beverly- based rock band that balances emo-pop melodies with influences of hard rock, Exit 18 was formed in 2013 while the members were students at Beverly High School as a merge between two bands. Bandmates Julia Perry, Sean Leahy, Doug Mears, Darren Muise and Dylan Perry all live near Exit 18 off Route 128.

After collaborating for a year, they released their debut single “I Don’t Need It” in 2017. Their live energy and theatrics brought them to venues such as The Middle East in Cambridge and Pianos in New York City. In 2018, they dropped their first music video for “All Yours.” shortly followed up with “Control The Mass.” They plan to release their debut EP later this year.

Described by The Boston Globe as “a night of rocking blues and funk jams,” The Gravel Project is the creation of guitarist, composer, and singer Andrew Gravel and brother, Hammond B3 organist Jordan Gravel. With a blues rock sound fused with a funk edge, the band has been creating a buzz with their eclectic style and gaining momentum in Boston, New Hampshire, and all over the East Coast. The Gravel Project electrifies crowds with inventive original songs, creative interpretations of well known classics, and high energy group improvisation. The band released their second full length album, “Wishful Thinking,” in November 2017, and is currently booking club dates, festival dates, and private events for 2018 and beyond.

The Salem band was formed in 2009 and includes Bailin (guitar and vocals), Eric Reardon (guitar), Steve Peabody (drums) and Steve Burke (bass). Known for their high-energy live shows full of soul and first class musicianship, they have two CDs, “Live in Witch City” and “Dave Bailin & the Bailouts.”

Tigerman WOAH is Adam Lentine on drums, Kevin Landry on upright bass, Jon Feinstorm on guitar, and Adam Kaz on banjo uke/guitar/lead vocals. Everybody sings. Based in Lynn, Mass., Tigerman WOAH has a rock and roll sound heavily influenced by the blues, various trends in Appalachian music, country, and punk rock. It’s loud, highly energetic, and has a rhythm you can dance to, recently earning them Best Live Act at the 2015 Boston Music Awards. They have played at the Stagecoach Music Festival, Boston Calling Music Festival, South By Southwest, and many a dive bar and backyard.

HDRnB is an original R&B/soul/groove band founded by in late 2010, featuring Henley Douglas Jr. (sax), Douglas Gimbel (vocals), John Iltis (drums), Eric Reardon (guitar), Squantch (trombone), David Walker (bass). Henley Douglas Jr.’s early career includes stints with the Big Dig Saxophone Quartet and Skin, a Boston-based funk-rock outfit that would open for acts like the Neville Brothers and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He founded the Heavy Metal Horns, a band that reached international acclaim in the 90s, and for 10 years, fronted the Boston Horns, a funk/jazz band also featuring HMH alum Garret Savluk.
